Two balls, seven ways to buy them

The balls

There are two EZ-Riseballs. Everything else on this page is those two in different counts, for a pitcher working alone or a staff working a bullpen. Both teach the rise and the drop; the difference between them is weight, and weight decides which stage of learning each one suits.

An EZ-Riseball resting in cut outfield grass

3 oz, about half a regulation softball

Beginner Ball

Designed to lift with backspin at around 30 mph, which is inside what a developing pitcher can already throw. The light weight also shifts more of the work onto the fingers relative to the arm, which is the proportion you want while the finger action is being learned.

Who it is for. A pitcher who has not yet produced clean backspin on demand.

An EZ-Riseball on the packed dirt of a pitching circle

8 oz, close to regulation weight

Advance Ball

Close enough to a real softball to feel like one, with a two colour stripe that makes four seam rotation readable in the air. This is the ball for studying how a pitch moves rather than whether it moves at all.

Who it is for. A pitcher who can already spin it and wants to see what the spin is doing.

Packages

Same two balls, mixed. The count is about how many arms are working in a session, not about a better ball, so pick by the size of the group rather than by price.

Returns

Returns are accepted within fifteen days. The item has to come back unused and unopened in its original packaging, and the refund is issued once the return has been inspected. Perishable, intimate and hazardous goods are not returnable.

Not sure which one

Ring Billie and say how old the pitcher is and how long she has been pitching. That is usually enough to settle it in a minute.
